Rich Reads June 7
After an amazing week traveling with colleagues, this was a big week of work, kids' school graduations and catching up with old friends
Many of you know I follow Peter Attia and the whole longevity movement in the belief it’ll increase the chances of living more healthy years. For those of you who (understandably) don’t like cold plunges, Nir Eyal had a wonderful post on how to live longer. He found some studies that show positive perceptions about aging, a positive outlook, and reasons to be alive can all have a surprisingly large impact.
Eric Topol had an excellent conversation with Venki Ramakrishnan about the science of aging and the efficacy (if any) of the many interventions people are trying, in promotion of his new book: Why We Die. I think this will be worth a read for anyone who is investing a lot of time and money into trying to maximize their healthspan.
Finally, I found Charles Duhigg’s Supercommunicators to contain some real nuggets of how to improve relationships with better communication. I’ve been practicing a few of the ideas and feel I am already having better conversations :) There’s a nice summary on Kevin Rose’s podcast.
Have a great weekend with people you love.
